I tried a few times to install the polymorp template in Joomla 1.7 - The error I keep getting: "There was an error uploading this file to the server"
Then I tried to install a different template (sugarfree) and had no problem at all with installation. I don't know but with the sugarfree template package I had the option for a 1.5 or 1.6 installation, but with the polymorph template when unpacked I had only one zip file install_polumorph.
Then I unpacked the installation zip and uploaded the files manually with ftp, but that did not work either.
Any tips how to solve or do I have the wrong package?
Hi!
No, thats the right package. The polymorph template just come with a installation file for Joomla 1.6/1.7+.
The error message indicates that there is a problem with a server limit for the file size. It can be that itis limited server based to 4MB. The Polymorph file is a bit bigger the Sugarfee file is smaller.
A solution is to upload the extracted installation files to the /templates subdirectory via FTP. (<-like you already do). And than login to your backend and click on "extensions->extension manager" and hit the "Discover" tab. There you should find the template file and a install button.
Thats new since Joomla 1.6+. In J! 1.5 it was enough to just upload the files into the right directory.
I made a few mistakes first and installed uninstalled it several times - it shows in the latest installation 'Discover install successful' and the template shows in the list of templates, but when I make it default I get the message: 'The template for this display is not available'?

Feel free to send me a super admin and FTP account for your site and your URL to:
